Red’s personality:
Red is a super sweet 5 month old Red Cattle Dog who is currently living with a wonderful foster family. Red was born completely deaf, and as such, we are looking for a very special home for her.

Red is very food motivated, so fairly easy to train. She walks well on a lead and loves to play tug of war with you. She will chase a ball, but you can get it back yourself, she won't bring it to you! She loves to snuggle and has a sweet and sensitive nature.

Red’s ideal forever home:
Red may be deaf, but that doesn't slow her down at all. She is excellent with other dogs, both big and small, and lives with a number of other dogs in foster care. She does have some resource guarding issues around food or anything that she deems to be a toy. Due to this, we are reluctant to have Red join a family with young kids. Red is untested with kids, but she does love people. Red is definitely not suited to living with birds of any type.

Red’s story:
Red was bred as a working dog and was the first in the litter to go but was returned as soon as her new owners realised she was deaf. The breeder did not want her and was unable to keep her, so Red’s foster mum stepped in and rescued her.

Red’s medical history:
Red was born deaf but she is otherwise a very healthy and happy young doggy. She will, of course, be desexed, vaccinated, and treated for heartworm, fleas, ticks and intestinal worms.

More about Red:
Red has basic hand signals of sit, lay and shake mastered. Being a young puppy, Red is still teething and has lots of energy. Her new family will require lots of time, energy and patience to train this little girl and to provide her with the attention that she deserves.

Red’s adoption fee, as with all of our rescue puppies is $450. If you think you can offer this precious girl the home that she deserves, please complete and submit an Adoption Questionnaire.
