Chevy’s personality:
Chevy is a happy and easy going doggy. She loves affection and the company of her humans. She is playful, enjoying toys with people on the end interacting with her or K9 buddies to chase and wrestle with. Chevy was quite rambunctious when she first arrived with us, but she is now happy to hang about calmly and await her routine walks and yard time.

Chevy’s ideal forever home:
Chevy will suit any home where she has regular exercise and playtime, and is included in family outings and activities. She would love nothing more than to curl up on the couch with her humans and watch some TV. Chevy has lived with children and would be happy with or without a K9 buddy, as long as she has human company.

Chevy’s story:
Chevy was taken in by a lovely family, when she was no longer wanted in her first home. Not long after her arrival, her new family noticed that she was pregnant. They supported her through this - she delivered 10 puppies on Christmas Eve. She was a good mama and her new family found homes for all of the puppies. Chevy was living on a rural property with rural fencing, and got into the habit of taking herself off to visit the neighbours and their doggies. Despite efforts to improve the fencing, Chevy was still escaping the property. The only way to keep her safe was on a chain and her new owners knew this was not an acceptable life for Chevy. They made the heart breaking decision to surrender her to us and were then extremely patient, while we awaited an available spot to take Chevy in.

Chevy’s medical history:
Chevy is in great shape - she is a healthy and athletic doggy. She is now desexed and up to date with vaccinations, heartworm, flea, tick and intestinal worming treatments.

More about Chevy:
Chevy has had a relatively unstable start to life. She is only two and a half and is in her third “home” and has already had a litter of 10 unplanned puppies.

She loves human company and affection. She enjoys going for walks and generally walks very well on lead, however, if she is very intent on seeing someone or investigating something (which doesn’t happen very often), she can be quite strong. We use a Gentle Leader Harness on her, which is one where the lead clips to the front (chest) of the harness. It is very effective in reducing pull power.

Chevy is very easy going and has an absolutely beautiful nature. She is very deserving of a loving home, where she can spend the rest of her life feeling safe and secure. Chevy’s adoption fee is $400 and she is available for adoption now.
