Myrtle - Adopted!
She’s confident, she’s beautiful, she’s Myrtle! This gorgeous 5 month old girl is ready to find her happily ever after.
Myrtle’s personality:
Mrytle is a sweet girl that loves to be around people. As with our other puppies, we have had to guess her breed! But we assume she may be a Rhodesian Ridgeback X and is approximately 5 months old. Myrtle is bold, confident and loves adventuring. She can understandably be apprehensive in new situations due to her rough start in life, but always gives things a go when supported with love and patience. She loves to play, racing around the yard and chasing her doggie friends. Once she is tired out, you will absolutely find her cuddled in for some love and affection.
Myrtle’s ideal forever home:
Myrtle’s ideal forever home is one that is ready and prepared to welcome a puppy into their lives. She will need to be introduced to the ways of the world and shown that it is not such a scary place after all. We anticipate that Myrtle will grow to be at least medium sized and therefore will need a good sized yard with appropriate fencing to play in. She would absolutely love to have a playmate, so having other doggies in the home would suit her. Myrtle will need someone who is home more often than not while she is still young so will not suit a home with full-time workers. She will need ongoing training to build on her puppy etiquette so she will grow into the best doggie she can be!
Myrtle’s story:
Myrtle came to us at the same time as 3 other young puppies. We were contacted by the council asking if we could take all 4 pups under duty of care, so they all made the move to Sweet Pea and became part of the family once they had completed their impound time! Not much is known about Myrtle’s life prior to this as she was found as a stray in Coopernook. Since her arrival, she has settled in very well and has been enjoying her play time and walks with the volunteers and other doggies.
Myrtle’s medical history:
Our girl Myrtle is healthy and happy! She has been desexed, microchipped and regularly treated with preventatives for fleas, ticks and worms since her arrival. She is also up to date with her puppy vaccinations. Myrtle is ready to find her forever home!
More about Myrtle:
Myrtle loves going for walks and is used to wearing a harness and walking on a lead. She plays well with the other doggies at Sweet Pea, chasing and wrestling to her heart’s content. She can’t wait to find her forever family that will include her in all of their adventures and give her, the happily ever after she deserves.
Myrtle’s adoption fee is $450 which helps to pay for her veterinary costs, parasitic treatments and food while in care.
