Maxi - Adopted!

Maxi is a sweet, affectionate 18 month old (approx) Kelpie X

Maxi’s personality:
Maxi is a bundle of energy and loves to chase a ball, play rope or just play chase with other dogs! She’s young, agile and full of beans. Due to her age and personality, she sometimes needs reminding of when its time to calm down! She has been in a foster home with two older Border Collie x boys and they have all been having a ball together. Maxi recognises her name and comes when called, she also knows how to sit and loves to snuggle up for a tummy rub. She is house trained and walks well on a lead. Like many young dogs she gets very excited when meeting new people and animals, so will need some patience to keep learning appropriate behaviour. Maxi was protective of her food around other dogs, however is slowly learning that she doesn’t have to compete for food any more and can wait her turn.

Maxi’s ideal forever home:
Due to her high energy levels, Maxi’s ideal home would have lots of space for her to run around and burn some of it off!. She will require secure fencing within this space. Her ideal home would be with another energetic dog for company and also lots of human interaction.

Maxi’s story:
Maxi was rescued from Taree pound earlier this year in June. She has really come out her shell since coming into care and has proven herself to be an amazing young doggy. Unfortunately, nothing else is known about her life prior to this.

Maxi’s medical history:
Maxi is a healthy young girl who is desexed, microchipped and vaccinated. She is also up to date with preventative treatments for fleas, ticks and worms.

Maxi is an energetic young girl that will keep you entertained constantly! She has a zest for life and is happiest around other dogs and people. She would love a doggy companion that she could play with for hours on end - they will need to be able to keep up with her though! Maxi loves the beach and once she has finished playing for the day, she loves to just cuddle up and get a tummy rub.
