Buddy - Adopted!

Buddy is an almost 1 year old Australian Kelpie X, with the sweetest nature.

Buddy’s personality:
Buddy is an absolute sweetheart! He was very timid when he arrived into our care, but has truly blossomed under constant love and attention. He is now so playful and wags his tail and prances around when he sees his favourite people. He loves nothing more than sitting near you to get some scratches and pats. He had clearly never been exposed to play before, but has started showing an interest in different toys and will do small zoomies!

Buddy’s ideal forever home:
Buddy would love more than anything, to just have a safe place to call home. He can be quite shy around new environments and people, so a patient and understanding home is important so that he can be introduced to new things slowly. He is good around cats and quiet dogs - if doggies have too much energy, he becomes a bit overwhelmed!

Buddy’s story:
Buddy was found roaming in Taree by a concerned member of the public. He was bought straight into Sweet Pea Animal Hospital, where he then spent his mandatory council impound time under our duty of care. He was extremely underweight and malnourished, as well as exhausted from being on the streets. Since his time here, he has proven to have a very healthy appetite and is now up to a normal weight range for his breed and size! He has really come out of his shell and has been so brave when facing everything that was new and scary for him.

Buddy’s medical history:
Buddy is now a happy and healthy boy after his weight gain. He is desexed, vaccinated and up to date with preventative treatments for fleas, ticks and worms.

Buddy is the most beautiful, patient and kind young man. Despite everything he has gone through, this remarkable dog must be one of the sweetest and most gentle dogs to come through the rescue.
