Angel - Adopted!

Angel is an 8 year old Long Haired Chihuahua, who is as sweet as they come and is waiting for a quiet & loving home.

Angel’s personality:
Angel is a sweet, loving and affectionate little girl. She is timid initially but once you are in, she is playful and absolutely adoring and adorable.

Angel’s ideal forever home:
Angel does not like children. She is terrified of them. She gets along well with other doggies that she knows but she can be a little jealous. So a dominant or reactive doggy will not suit Angel. Her ideal home will provide her with company, love and a quiet and calm environment. Teenage children would most likely be okay, but Angel will need to feel safe and not overwhelmed.

Angel’s story:
Angel came to us from a home where she had already been rescued from a breeding background. She lived with four other doggies and got along well with everyone. But her owner’s were only able to have two dogs where they lived, so we have helped to rehome three. Angel’s BFF was a Kelpie X, with special needs who was adopted into a wonderful home with children. While the family desperately wanted to also adopt Angel, she just wasn’t coping with the children. She has actually blossomed since being separated from her buddy and is showing much more confidence than she did prior.

Angel’s medical history:
Angel’s health is great. As is standard protocol with rescue’s of Angel’s age, we have run blood tests to establish baseline outcomes. All of Angel’s blood tests returned normal results. Since being in our care Angel has been desexed, vaccinated, and treated for heartworm, ticks, fleas and intestinal worms.

More about Angel:
Without meaning to be controversial, we would have to say that Angel is one of the sweetest Chihuahua’s we have ever met. Not only is she is as cute as they come, she is a happy and affectionate little girl.

Angel is shy if she doesn’t know you but rather than taking the shape of a land shark, she will avoid contact and shuffle around the person she knows best. However, if you sit on the ground and offer her a treat, she is yours! She will sit in your lap and take all the love and affection that you have to give. She nods off in pure bliss!!

Angel is completely motivated by food. She has a great appetite. She loves to go for walks and isn’t afraid of the rain or wet grass. She runs through puddles and will sniff around for as long as you will let her. Her toileting is like clockwork and she has never had an ”accident".

I guess you could say she is an………..angel :-)
