Marley & Penny - Adopted!

Marley & Penny are a double deal. They arrived together and we plan for them to stay together.

Marley & Penny’s personality:
Marley is a confident and outgoing boy, who is VERY smoochy and affectionate. A dribbler, in fact! He will sit on your chest, while you scratch his ears - and drool!!

Penny can be a little bit shy in comparison to Marley, but she absolutely cannot resist some quality play time! She adores all of our other rescue cats and kittens; and is often the one initiating play!

Both Marley & Penny are sweet tempered, gentle and loving!!

Marley & Penny’s ideal forever home:
We are adamant that Marley & Penny stay together. They have already had enough upheavals in life without losing each other! So, their ideal home, is one that will adopt and love both of them. They came from a home that may have been a bit transient and seem to adjust and cope with change well. They are great with other cats but have not been tested with dogs; and they are quite comfortable around children.

Marely & Penny’s story:
Marley & Penny’s owner sadly found herself without accommodation for a period of time and could no longer keep Marley & Penny. We went into the situation with the thought that if their home environment became stable again, that perhaps they could return. But when that time came, their owner only wanted to take Marley and was unable to provide any proof of real estate approval for pets. So, we made the very difficult decision to keep them in our care until we can find them a loving forever home together.

Marley & Penny’s medical history:
Both Marley and Penny are in good health. We were initially told that Penny was diagnosed with a heart murmur as a kitten, but thankfully this is not the case. They are both desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated for ticks, fleas & intestinal worms.

Marley & Penny are truly a sweet duo, raised (but not biologically related) and brought to us together....we are making it our mission to keep it that way!

These two came to Sweet Pea in March 2020 after their previous living conditions become uncertain. Between the two of them, you really get a taste of all the typical cat traits you might expect!

BOTH of these guys are sweet tempered, gentle and loving!! They both seem to have great social skills with other cats. (or animals?)

Becoming a rescue animal, especially as an adult, must be somewhat confusing and disruptive, so we are really thankful that these two have had each other to rely on throughout their journey  we insist that they find their forever home together too!

Penny and Marley are both desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with flea, tick and worm treatments. Their adoption fee is $100 each.
