Pixie - Adopted!

Meet Princess Pixie, an adorable 1 year old girl, looking for her forever home!

Pixie’s personality:
Pixie is an absolute beauty, as you can see! She is now just over a year old and is waiting in anticipation to meet her new family. Pixie loves company and especially when that company will pat her every time she desires! Her beautiful, soft fur makes cuddles such a joy. Pixie is the kind of cat that will keep you company while you go about your daily tasks. She simply loves to be around her human companions and isn't shy about asking for cuddles. Once she has supervised your activities for the day, she will likely retreat to the sunniest perch in the house and settle in for a catnap.

This adorable girl combines the best of all cat worlds - she is playful and affectionate, but will also appreciate having her own time on occasion.

Pixie’s ideal forever home:
Pixie has previously lived with other cats in a home and is currently coping well in the cattery with multiple cat personalities around her. However, Pixie seems to prefer the company of cats younger than her and would suit a home with a kitten or a quiet cat of the same age to live with. We do not know if she has previously lived or been around dogs.

While she is a pretty confident princess when she is settled in her environment, Pixie can take a bit of time to adjust (as is the case with most cats) and will need a home that respects her space if she needs it.

As with all of our rescue cats, Pixie must be adopted as indoor only.

Pixie’s story:
Pixie has had a pretty sad start to her young life. In February, Pixie and her 2 young kittens that were only about 2 months old, were dumped in a cage outside our gate. The note that was left for us stated “they are not my problem”. Thankfully, they were all safe and will now get to live the life that they deserve! Not only has Pixie been put through the stress of having a litter of kittens at such a young age, she was then abandoned with her babies by the people that should have protected them.

Pixie and one of her kittens were adopted into a loving home pretty quickly however, unfortunately Pixie was not getting along with one of the other cats that was already in the home. Despite their best efforts, it didn't work out and Pixie came back to us at Sweet Pea.

Pixie was reunited with her other daughter, Genevieve and they have been keeping each other company while they wait for their forever families to come along.

Pixie’s medical history:
Pixie is a happy, healthy girl. She is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and up to date with all parasitic preventatives. She has previously had at least one litter of kittens in her life, with no ongoing complications from this. Pixie has no known pre-existing health conditions or medical concerns.

More about Pixie:
Being as playful as she is, Pixie enjoys a variety of games and toys. From playing with feathered wands to chasing a laser pointer, Pixie likes to try it all. She loves having a cosy place to snuggle up in and whenever possible, you'll find her lounging in sun-soaked spots around the house.

Pixie’s adoption fee is $200, which contributes towards her vet work and other care to date.
