Jack - Adopted!
Meet our very own Jack in the Box! Jack, our little live wire, is cuteness overload with his outgoing personality and handsome face. Jack is an approximately 9 month old Australian Kelpie X (we have guessed that he is a dingo mix), who needs a loving and guiding hand in his new family so that he can live the best possible life that he so desperately wants.
Jack’s personality:
Prepare to be astounded by our very own Jack in the Box! Jack arrived to us with a completely unknown history and with no behaviours that would indicate him previously having a home or family, but over time we have been lucky enough to be able to get to know this beautiful boy better.
He absolutely loves to spend time with humans, whether it’s for pats and affection or playing with toys - he is always keen for a game if you are! Jack is a very intelligent young man and picks up new skills quickly. He mastered “sit” and “wait” very soon after his arrival at Sweet Pea – tasty treats were our best assistant! Prior to this training, he had no idea what sit was! It was a fluke that he was able to learn as we patiently waited for him to sit on his own accord, he now knows exactly what the word means and does it with pleasure.
Jack is an energetic boy who loves to be active. Once zoomie time is over, you will find him reclined lazily in the shade of a tree, where he will more than happily wait for a cuddle or some pats. Jack is very affectionate and also loves to have people around him for company.
Jack’s ideal forever home:
Jack’s ideal home is one that is looking for a puppy packed with personality and who will fall in love with his zest for life! His forever home should also be one that’s prepared to put time into ongoing training for Jack so that he is able to be the best doggy he can be. At this stage, he should be the only pet in the home as he is untested with cats or pocket pets and is still learning his appropriate doggy greetings! He is very sociable with humans and would love to be included in any household activities, such as social gatherings or adventures further afield. Jack is still a growing boy, but is not expected to become much bigger than he already is.
Jack would suit a home where he can be the centre of attention and a best friend. If you have been on the lookout for a loyal, loving companion, maybe Jack is the one for you! He would also thrive in a home where he could be a running buddy or adventure companion, his curiosity and adaptability making him the perfect fit!
Jack’s new home will require a securely fenced and reasonable sized yard so that he is able to indulge in his “Super-doggy” antics! He loves to race around chasing his toys and often does not need much encouragement to do so!
Jack’s story:
Jack was picked up as a stray along the Lakes Way near Forster. We are unsure whether he has ever had a home or even where he came from. All we know is that when he arrived, he was very worried and overwhelmed with his new surroundings. However he soon settled in, loving the companionship and affection from all of the volunteers. Jack adapted quickly to his new routine and his personality started to shine. Jack is still very unsure about other doggies and we anticipate that he may not have been exposed to dogs, or even people before he arrived.
Jack’s medical history:
Jack is in tip-top shape and is a very healthy 9 month old pup – he is small, only weighing in at 17kg currently. He has been desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and treated regularly with preventatives for fleas, ticks and worms since his arrival.
More about Jack:
Jack is a special soul and will need lots of love and attention in his new home. We are hoping that his perfect family is out there, waiting to help him to live an amazing life. Jack is affectionate, hilarious and full of life. He will be your loyal companion, your protector and your best friend – all the while making you laugh with his antics!
Jack’s adoption fee is $500, which contributes towards his care and medical expenses to date.
