Missy’s personality:
Missy is a sweet little girl, who loves to be around her humans. She doesn’t mind the company of other doggies but would prefer to be inside with her people. She was a little anxious when she first arrived into our care, but a few weeks in her wonderful foster home enjoying the company, care and consistency of a loving family, and she is a different doggy. Underneath her scruffy exterior is a little princess who loves nothing more than to snuggle up on the bed or couch with her people.

Missy’s ideal forever home:
Missy will suit a home where she has company. She doesn’t like being left alone and is beyond excited when her people return home, even after a short time away. She is good with other dogs - big and small, and she loves her human foster siblings. She likes to spend most of her time inside, or at least on a nice comfortable outdoor setting.

Missy’s story:
Missy was left alone on a rural property after her owner suddenly was forced to leave. She and her five canine siblings, were alone and outside at the property for two weeks before coming into our care. Prior to this, she had experienced instability and some volatility due to her owners poor mental health. We got the call from a neighbour who had been feeding and checking on the doggies daily. Despite her past experience, Missy is a sweet and loving doggy.

Missy’s medical history:
We don’t know anything of Missy’s medical history, except that the three other little doggies in her home are said to be her puppies. She is only young herself. Her thorough health assessment has shown her to be in good health. Missy is now desexed, vaccinated, mircochipped and treated for fleas, ticks, heartworm and intestinal worms.

More about Missy:
From her foster family: Missy (her name was previously, Salem but we didn’t feel that it suited such a pretty little girl) because she is Miss Boss. When she came to us she was a nervous wreck, shaking constantly and unsure what to do. A couple of weeks later and she now rules the house, and the bed!

She needs to be inside as much as she wants, and when she isn't, you will hear about it. She loves lazing on the lounge and is the first to head off to bed and snuggle in each night. She loves a good scratch and if you stop too early she will give you the look, and sometimes a little reminder in the form of a friendly growl, to remind you to keep scratching her 🤣

She gets on with other dogs fine but is more than happy not to be around them, and to spend her time with her people. She would be best suited to someone who is at home a lot...she does not like it when we leave her, and when we return after half an hour, it's like we have been away for a week. She greets us with jumps, dances and kisses!!
