Blossom - Adopted!
Blossom is a beautiful, captivating 4-year-old Great Dane X. A sensible and sweet girl, she will make the most loving and loyal companion for someone who is looking for a new canine friend to share their life with.
Blossom’s personality:
Blossom has a very calm, loving, and gentle nature. Nothing appears to phase her! She is a willing participant to whatever fun adventure is on the agenda – whether that be going on a nice long walk (she happily puts on her harness with ease and walks confidently on her lead), chasing her favourite ball around the yard, or lazing under the shade of a leafy tree when it’s time to rest and relax!
Blossom is a well-mannered girl who cleverly knows her basic commands well. If other doggies are excitedly barking at Sweet Pea, she is never one to get involved, instead preferring to curiously watch on and be entertained by her surroundings. She adores people and loves nothing more than to spend time with human company. Conducive to her Great Dane ancestry, she loves to lounge around and snuggle!
Blossom’s ideal forever home:
Blossom’s ideal forever home will include plenty of space for her to run around, play and stretch out those long legs of hers! As with all of our rescue dogs, a secure fenced yard is necessary to keep this tall girl safe at all times. Blossom gets on well with other doggies and would suit having a canine companion, provided she is given time to get to know them at her own pace – Blossom is an observer and prefers not to have doggies get in her face!
Despite her grand, Great Dane size (although she is smaller than a purebred Great Dane!), Blossom is very gentle and does not jump, so we anticipate she would do well in a home with younger children that are confident with big doggies.
Blossom’s story:
Blossom has been passed around from home to home in her short 4 year life, moving through at least 2 homes in Queensland and eventually ending up here in the Forster area. She first arrived at Sweet Pea after being dropped off as a ‘stray’. Once we established some more of her story, it turned out that the seemingly kind-hearted people who left her here, were really abandoning her. Aside from this, we do not know much of her history and what she has been through. We did manage to speak to her original owners who bred her and have been very concerned for her welfare, but we have assured them she is now safe and will find a loving forever home.
Blossom was not her original name, but it became perfectly fitting and deserving of this sweet girl, with her personality blossoming after her arrival. Her sweet, gentle nature has been more than shining since her arrival and our wonderful volunteers can’t wait to see her excel further and settle into her new home.
Blossom’s medical history:
Blossom is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with all flea, tick and worming preventatives. She has been given a shining star of health from the vet during her medical checks and is ready and waiting for her new family, so she can begin her life again.
More about Blossom:
This attractive girl is just the most affectionate and warm-hearted doggie. Don’t let her height intimidate you – this long-legged beauty has the softest nature in the neighbourhood! She will make the most devoted of companions, and she cannot wait to shower her forever family with love and tenderness.
Blossom’s adoption fee is $450, which contributes towards her medical care, food, housing and other costs to date.
