Phoenix - Adopted!

Phoenix is 90% sweet as pie and 10% firecracker!

Phoenix’s personality:

Phoenix is a handsome, almost 2 year old young man who is about 90% sweet as pie and 10% firecracker! He loves to explore his surroundings and play with his toys. He is fond of a nice stroke or pat and will often wind himself around your legs. Phoenix will let you know when he wants you to leave him alone but he loves human attention and affection more than anything, so this will not be often. Phoenix is a confident young man with a meow that will always remind you he is there!

 Phoenix’s ideal forever home:

Phoenix likes to interact with his cattery neighbours, both through the fence and with small amounts of play outside their enclosures. He would suit a home with other cats, but only if they like to play and can hold their own! A family with older children, a couple, or a single person would suit Phoenix - as long as he gets some love and attention and has cool toys to play with, he will be happy! As with all our rescue cats, Phoenix is required to be an indoor only cat.

 Phoenix’s story:

Phoenix came into our care from another vet. He had a broken leg that our wonderful Dr Rob fixed for him by putting a plate in his leg. He was always a sweet and vocal boy but became more frustrated at not being able to be more physical during his recovery. He is now fully healed and is waiting for his forever home where he can run, climb, play, and be loved.

Phoenix’s medical history:

Phoenix had surgery to repair a broken hind leg, but you wouldn’t know it the way he moves around now! He has been desexed, vaccinated, and is up to date with his flea, tick and worming treatments. He has had a tough start in his young life – but it can only get better from here.

If this spirited boy sounds like the ideal cat for you, please fill out the adoption application form and submit. The adoption fee for Phoenix is $150.

More about Phoenix:

Phoenix is a beautiful, almost 2 year old old ginger tabby. Our volunteers describe him as “playful, energetic, loving affectionate, active, and vocal”

The start of his time with us was spent in the hospital for his surgery and recovery time, and it was noticed that he was getting a little frustrated being in such a confined space. However, being out in the cat enclosures and interacting with the other cats has allowed him to chill out and expend some of his energy. He loves to play with various toys so Phoenix would love someone who could provide him with new and exciting toys (rotating toys each week is an easy way of accomplishing this) – perhaps some puzzle toys and feeders also. He loves toys so much he will ‘steal’ toys off his neighbours by pawing them from underneath the divider! He also loves playing ’hide and seek’ with his current companions, darting in out the cat tunnel and enclosures.

Phoenix’s adopption fee is $150 which contributes towards his veterinary treatment and care to date.
