Bodhi is a big, loveable boy who is searching for his perfect forever home! He is an 18 month old Mastiff X
Bodhi’s personality:
Bodhi is a handsome, loving and gentle American Staffy X Bull Mastiff, who is almost 2 years old. This sweet, cuddly boy will steal your heart with his smiling face and big snuggles. Bodhi is still young and occasionally needs gentle reminders to keep all four paws on the ground, but he is otherwise very obedient with sit, wait and lay down. Bodhi loves his food, so ongoing training to help him be the best doggie he can be, will be a piece of cake!
Bodhi’s favourite toy is definitely a tug rope and he loves to show off his skills during playtime. More than anything though, Bodhi loves affection. He will snuggle into you for pats and regular cuddles, before running off to do more sniffing and exploring. The way to Bodhi’s heart will always be a tummy scratch and you can be sure he will remind you when it is time for another one – rolling onto his back and looking at you with his beautiful eyes. All he wants is a family who will love him and be his forever – it is guaranteed that he will repay you in kisses!
Bodhi’s ideal forever home:
Bodhi would suit a family home where he is able to be doted on by all members – kids included. Bodhi has lived with children before as well as a cat and a rabbit, so a home with pocket pets would be fine for Bodhi, provided a slow introduction is possible. Bodhi makes friends with all doggies that he has met so far at Sweet Pea and would suit having a canine companion to play with in his forever home. He has been especially amazing with our littlest rescue doggy, Hudson, doting on him and playing so gently. They are even roomates now and love to snuggle up. Bodhi would love to have a safe yard that he can run around in and daily walks so he is able to do lots of sniffing. This sweet, loving boy knows his perfect forever home is out there and he can’t wait to meet his new family!
Bodhi’s story:
Bodhi has only ever had one home in his life where he was very loved and arrived at Sweet Pea Animal Rescue in May. He sadly had to be surrendered by his owner due to a change in circumstance and unavailability of pet friendly rentals in the area. Bodhi settled in to Sweet Pea like a duck to water and has quickly become a favourite among the volunteers, thanks to his gentle and affectionate personality.
Bodhi’s medical history:
Bodhi is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated and is also an extremely healthy young man! Weighing in at 35kg, this gentle lovebug is more than ready to move into his forever home. Bodhi is also receiving regular treatments for flea, tick and worming prevention and has been given a squeaky clean bill of health by the vet!
