Penelope is the cat for you!!
Penelope’s personality:
Penelope is such a beautiful cat, in appearance and personality. She LOVES attention and affection and is VERY vocal about it too! She loves to play with toys and with you – your shoe can become a toy if you’re not careful! Penelope adores being petted and stroked – she is a cat who doesn’t mind being touched anywhere so long as you don’t stop. She is such a sweetheart, but of late has also shown her feisty side – probably due to wanting to explore more of the world outside her enclosure now her kittens have left home. Let her settle in your lap while you stroke her and the purr machine turns on! She is truly a special kitty.
Penelope’s ideal forever home:
Penelope would love a family who will shower her with love and affection and have time to play with her. She is not a cat for other feline company – that we have seen – as she has shown some dislike for cats coming and going in the hospital. Therefore, she may prefer to be in a one cat household. Penelope has been living inside the hospital due the rescue being over capacity, and we have observed her becoming a little ‘stir crazy’ so we are sure she would appreciate lots of space to explore. Like all of our rescue cats, she should be an indoor only cat.
Penelope’s story:
Penelope came to us HEAVILY pregnant but in otherwise good health. We thought her kittens were imminent but she kept them incubating for a few more days. She eventually gave birth to four beautiful little bundles of joy – 3 girls and 1 boy right here at Sweet Pea! She was a sweet and attentive mumma and the kittens are now growing and weened and ready for their own forever homes. She did a wonderful job with them to give them a great start to life, but now this Queen needs a castle to call her own.
Penelope’s medical history:
Penelope has recently been desexed since her kittens have been weened and are no longer dependant on her. She has also been vaccinated, wormed, and given flea and tick prevention. She is in good health and is waiting to start living her single life!

Penelope is a beautiful black/ and white Domestic Short Haired (DSH) cat that we estimate to be around 1 year and 9 months of age. She is a smaller statured cat and currently weighs about 3kg. As of late, her feisty side has made an appearance, but this could be down to being cooped up. She has been a delightful cat to be with since day 1 and will make a wonderful addition to anyone’s household if you will just give her a chance. She just melts our hearts!
