Mocha - Adopted!
Meet Mocha, a sweet and affectionate 5-month-old girl. With her striking colours and big golden-green eyes, she is beautiful inside and out.
Mocha’s personality:
Though she may come across as shy and timid, she blooms with love and affection once she feels safe. She will need a loving family able to give her lots of time, love and cuddles. She purrs like an engine and will snuggle up on your lap begging to be stroked, she definitely knows how to win you over!
Mocha was born into a feral cat colony, but since being in foster care has really come out of her shell, having a patient, loving family will help her even more. Affectionate and sweet, she would be a great companion as Mocha bonds closely with the people she knows and trusts.
She loves playing and has this cute little habit of grabbing her toy and bringing it to you. Her enthusiasm is contagious and guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.
Mocha’s ideal forever home:
Mocha will be better suited to a quieter household with older children, that are willing to give her time to adjust and settle in. She may be a little shy at first but once you win her trust, she will love you forever.
A home where people aren’t constantly coming and going would be ideal to help her feel comfortable. She hasn’t yet been tested with dogs and Mocha may be frightened by an energetic puppy, but we anticipate that she would be fine with an older, calmer dog. With the proper introductions she would also be able to get along with another cat or kitten and would love the companionship.
As with all of our rescue cats, Mocha will need to be adopted as indoor only. This is even more important to be able to keep her and our native wildlife safe, given that Mocha was born on the streets.
Given the chance and patience Mocha will be a loving part of your family for many years to come.
Mocha’s story:
Mocha was born into a feral cat colony in Forster, where there were approximately 50 cats and kittens living on the streets. We estimated that she would have been born in late February and was rescued on the 11th of April. She initially went straight into foster care with 3 other young kittens, as we were completely full in our cattery. This time allowed her to decompress and learn that she could trust humans - especially for food and playtime! Once some room opened up at the rescue, Mocha spent her time being doted on by our wonderful volunteers before going back into foster care to further her socialisation skills. She has come such a long way and has so much love to give, with only more development to come we are sure!
Mocha’s medical history:
Mocha has been kept up to date with flea, tick and worming preventatives since her arrival. She is also desexed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.

Mocha's adoption fee is $250, which contributes towards her vet work, food, treatments and other care to date.
